Denise and I believe this is the right moment to create a community in which activists, artists, and misfits can engage scripture, participate in community and provide spiritual support for each other. We believe we serve as pastors/facilitators/and space-holders for this Kairos movement.
We are reaching out to invite you to partner with us in a mission that’s close to our hearts. In the Bayview-Hunters Point neighborhood of San Francisco, a place rich in culture and resilience, many are seeking hope, healing, and meaningful connection. We are creating safe spaces where individuals can experience deep spiritual transformation, healing from trauma, and real community support.

Kirk and Denise Davis are passionate about fostering a sense of belonging and purpose through community engagement. They have a deep commitment to creating spaces for meaningful dialogue and collaboration.
Truth/Trauma/Transformation narrative highlights the powerful potential of our approach to address the unique challenges facing communities in Bayview-Hunters Point and beyond.
Here’s what we know: Bayview-Hunters Point has faced historical economic and racial injustices. Poverty, disinvestment, and racial isolation are deeply embedded truths affecting the community’s reality today, leading to a diminished sense of agency and spiritual despair. Many feel disconnected from a church that meets them in these lived experiences.
At Kairos, we don't just address trauma and resilience; we embrace them, weaving faith-based solutions into the fabric of our community. Traditional churches may not always acknowledge the intersections of trauma and community resilience in an impactful way. There is a need for faith-based approaches that are relevant to these truths and genuinely advocate for social and personal healing.
Through Kingdom Outposts, we look to creating safe spaces where individuals can experience deep spiritual transformation, healing from trauma, and real community support. We exist because there is a gap. There is a hunger for authentic faith, deep connection, and real transformation that goes beyond Sunday services. Many have been disillusioned by religious spaces that fail to engage the complexities of life—questions of justice, mental health, identity, and purpose.
Kairos provides a welcoming dynamic environment for our events, with flexible spaces designed to foster connection and creativity. We call these Kingdom Outpost. These Outpost are spiritual refuges focused on healing, empowering, and equipping leaders who will influence social, spiritual, and systemic change in San Francisco, particularly in Bayview-Hunters Point.
Strategically located in the heart of San Francisco, Kairos is easily accessible and provides a central hub for our community gatherings. By addressing the community’s truths, trauma, and pathways to transformation, Kingdom Outpost serves as a bridge between faith and action.
Kairos attracts a wide range of individuals, making it a truly diverse and inclusive space for dialogue and collaboration. We maintain a Christ-centered wide tent politically, philosophically, and ideologically creating space for diverse prospectives. We resist choosing sides on controversial social issues in favor of inviting compassionate dialog in a spirit of mutual growth and learning for the benefit of the whole community.
We exist because there is a gap. There is a hunger for authentic faith, deep connection, and real transformation that goes beyond Sunday services. Many have been disillusioned by religious spaces that fail to engage the complexities of life—questions of justice, mental health, identity, and purpose. Others have left the church altogether, not because they lack faith, but because they could not find a community where their faith and real-life struggles could coexist.
We believe that the Gospel is alive, active, and deeply relevant to the struggles of today. Jesus' ministry was one of radical inclusion, healing, and justice—He didn’t just preach; He moved among the people, restoring dignity, breaking chains, and ushering in a new way of being.
We remind people of their worth, dignity, and divine calling.
We create spaces for healing from trauma, false narratives, and oppression.
We equip people to live out their faith in ways that change lives and communities.

These new spaces will allow us to support even more people, offering programs focused on trauma healing, leadership development, and spiritual growth. Your monthly support is essential in making this expansion possible, as each new outpost will require funding for resources, staffing, and community outreach.
Thanks to your monthly gifts, we are building a strong, sustainable foundation that brings real, lasting change to Bayview-Hunters Point. Your generosity will allows us to start Gatherings like:

Looking Ahead:
Next Year - Establish 3-5 active Kingdom Outposts in Bayview-Hunters Point, reaching 75 leaders, with at least 50 African American leaders equipped with the tools for deep, transformative work.
Five-Year Plan - Grow a network of Kingdom Outposts throughout San Francisco, fostering a movement of transformative discipleship that influences neighborhoods, creates faith-based community leaders, and shifts the narrative of church from institution to mission-centered service.

A Kairos moment (theology) is a disruption in time when the kingdom of God comes near to us and elicits a response. It is a disruptive moment that calls us to respond to God‘s invitation. Kairos of San Francisco is responding to that call as a expended spiritual family. It's about Identity of activity. It's about people loving a God and loving place God called us to.
